Co-Founder of Core Action Assoc. Inc., Judy is renowned for her skills as a coach and "thinking partner" to both executives and teams. Her approach involves working with individuals, teams, and organizations to determine their core strengths and capabilities, as a foundation for creating "the best of what can be."
Judy began her career as a health scientist consulting to hospitals. While widely recognized for her technical expertise, she found an increasing need to help her clients deal with the wrenching changes occurring in the healthcare industry. Her work required bringing together teams from various specialty areas of health care with intensely differing positions and points of view. Ultimately this tumultuous time in healthcare led Judy to her pioneering work around how our belief systems can help or hinder us in creating successful change at both the individual and team level.
Because Judy’s education and passion began in the health sciences, her motivation is for creating healthy organizations, teams and leaders. Her coaching style integrates awareness building and skill building in conflict management, relationship building, stress management and self-coaching to enhance leadership, team collaboration and change management.
As a workshop facilitator, Judy has taught hundreds of leaders and team members the art of Leadership-Based Coaching and Team Collaboration. Her clients have included a wide variety of corporations and not-for-profit organizations. Judy is frequently asked to speak on a wide range of subjects including collaborative communications, team conflict, executive coaching, change management, and leadership.

Why Dale Biron?
He has years of successful coaching and consulting experience: Dale has successfully worked with every position and type of executive from key middle managers to VPs of all types, to business owners and CEOs. Additionally, Dale specializes in whole-team coaching as well. Over the years, Dale has coached and consulted to scores of clients, from banks to middle market companies to closely held businesses to professional service firms to high technology companies to nonprofits. He authored and delivered an entire training curriculum for one of the nation's largest financial institutions. For over a year, Dale coached a special team of high tech executives from a who’s who list of computer equipment companies toward the successful adoption of a new industry standard for communications protocol in laptop computers. In recent years he’s made independent, community-based businesses and banks a specialty within his practice.
He’s been swimming in the same water as you: By his early teens Dale had created the only lawn maintenance business in his hometown of Charlotte, N.C. that offered a special status for customers that committed to the entire summer season. (Using his parent’s lawnmower, by the way, kept his cost down and profits up.) By his early twenties Dale was first a top sales representative, then sales manager for a Fortune 1000 company. By his early thirties he was founder and senior executive for a national software company. By his late thirties he had become co-founder of a unique coaching and consulting practice, serving clients throughout the western United States.
He understands the kind of change your organization is facing: Dale has an intimate knowledge of the change process. Like one of his main mentors William Bridges, Dale believes strongly that it is not the change that kills critical change initiatives within teams and companies, it’s the transition. The difference? Simply put, change has everything to do with the outside world. We change our job, our teams, our projects and goals. Or perhaps the market changes, or our competition becomes more aggressive, or we experience a serious setback in some critical area of performance. By contrast, transitions are internal in nature. They are the internal psychological adaptation to the new situation, or desired new situation. Dale understands that the changes we make are never truly sustainable until and unless the underlying transitions are completed as well.
He creatively uses his knowledge and passion for Coaching, Aikido, world-class Poetry and Stories to provide unique, creative and effective coaching: As powerful as our minds and intellects are for helping us solve our personal and business challenges, Dale knows intellect and logic alone are not enough. In fact, great leaders and more recently researchers and scientists have shown that sustainable change requires us to engage not only our minds, but our emotions and bodies as well. Dale incorporates the powerful confluence of skillful coaching, the martial art of Aikido, and powerful narrative poems and stories into his coaching work in order to harness the latest, most proven methods for executives, leaders and managers to make the changes they most want and need to make. This confluence of passions (Dale holds a Black Belt in Aikido, and is poetry editor for Gratefulness.org) has also given rise to Dales’ unique dojo-based team coaching approach, as well as his poetry-based speeches on change and transition.
His experience and knowledge are broad and deep: Dale has integrated years of real-world business leadership experience with passionate study and practice in coaching, systems theory, psychology, philosophy, political science, poetry and the martial art of Aikido. His key influencers and mentors (at times in person and at times from afar) include: Robert Fritz, Peter Block, Tom Rusk, Peter Senge, John Whitmore, William Bridges, Wendy Palmer, George Leonard, Tim Gallwey, Paul Hawken, Margot Fraser, William Stafford, Max Dupree, Edgar Schein, Bill Moyers, David Whyte and many others.
